Thankfully, the favor requires both. Or at least some kind of weapon. Some of my packmates are human teenagers, with one of them returning to town with the most recent batch, and I was wondering if you would be up for teaching them some things. Or knew anyone who would be.
I could give it a shot. I know a little something about what it means to be mostly human in a world where everyone else is bigger and stronger than you. Wouldn't be opposed to giving a few lessons.
It'd be good for them, and I'd really appreciate getting them whatever help there can be had here. I can only do so much, considering my experience lies in fighting other supernatural creatures with my own abilities. One of them is a hunter's kid, to be fair to her, but they've always specialized in werewolves.
And unfortunately, we got much bigger worries than werewolves here. I get it. I'll see if I can't teach them a little something. Might even ask Jason to come along and help me demonstrate, he won't mind getting smacked around a little.
I've taken a look at what's waiting outside the barriers. We have a whole hell of a lot more to deal with than werewolves. Thankfully they're all pretty smart, and quick learners. Stiles is [ (unsure) ] accident prone, but he's sharp. And the most human. Allison's the hunter, Lydia's a banshee.
I can handle accident prone. At least make sure he stabs the bad guys instead of himself. You've got a banshee? Neat. I'll do what I can for all three of them. Just gotta work out when and where.
If you didn't have that image already then you haven't spoken to Jason much.
I heard he almost shot his best friend once when he was handed a crossbow for all of five seconds. He needs the help. Yeah. She's been a little stressed for the past two months, but it's hard not to be when death is everywhere here. We'll figure something out.
Most of the time I've spent with him has been when he's been four-legged. I can't say I'm shocked, though, considering some of the jokes he's made.
He's tenacious, at least. I feel worse for Lydia, considering the fact that she's so attuned to death. I don't know if I want her to get used to it or not, but she's getting to this mindset where it almost seems like she is.
Might work out. There's quite a few empty houses recently, you've got your pick of the crop. Don't know if it's safer to be isolated or with the rest of us - we ought to figure out if we can take advantage of the hotel's distance for future surprises.
Tenacity has its perks. Whether or not you want her to, it's probably best that she does. Especially in this place. We can't treat any of them with kid gloves, no matter how much you care.
We'll figure it out. Right now, I think closer might be better. Not sure I'm loving being out here in the middle of nowhere, especially after the recent outbreak.
They're worse when he's wearing his usual wardrobe. Believe me. At least his ass is covered when he's cracking them now.
Know those perks pretty well. There's a reason why I came to you and not anyone else, despite the fact we don't know each other that well, and that's it. Not to give you the assumption that I think you're going to be a drill sergeant, but you're going to take this seriously. They need someone that'll teach them what they can without being harsh, but not someone that'll hold their hands.
Isolation is a pro and a con in outbreaks like this. You weren't infected, but things were insane. Safety in numbers, except where it isn't, I guess.
I'm not even going to ask. He's all right, jokes aside. Means well. I just don't know how I feel about introducing him to Stiles, who is a bastion of horrible jokes.
I could be a drill sergeant, but I might need to be a few inches taller for anyone to take me seriously as one. But yeah, you're not wrong. I'll do what I can to make sure they're prepared. It's important.
I know, I was luckier than most. God bless immunity. We probably can't afford to let this keep us from trusting each other, though. Maybe further isolation is what they want from us.
Jason and Stiles will make sure this town burns, Derek.
We have an abundance of intimidating women of your stature where we're from, so I don't know. You'll at least have their attention, I think.
Who the hell knows what they want, really. But might as well make it harder for them and easier for us in whatever ways that we can. If we can actually get a community going, that sure as hell will help things.

Really didn't need that image, Anita.

Yeah, death will have that effect on a person, especially if you're not used to it.
Not that anyone should have to be.
I'm planning to relocate my people at the hotel soon, might be able to find a convenient space to work safely with your friends in the process?
Sometimes he's better when he can't talk.

His jokes were pretty awful.

This town isn't that big, Derek. I'm not sure we can actually keep them apart.
